Beginning Your Walk with Jesus

God created you so He could have a close relationship with you; but since the very first man and woman, we have all chosen other things over God, and our wrongdoings (sins) have separated us from Him.

♥ For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. …They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator Himself, Who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. (Romans 1:20 & 25)
♥ For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard (Romans 3:23).

God’s love for you is so great and He does not want you to be eternally separated from Him through death, so He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, Who never sinned, to pay the penalty for your sins with His death on the cross.

♥ But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8).
♥ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

The only way you can have a relationship with God both now and forever is through believing in Jesus Christ, Who not only died for your sins but rose again conquering death for all who trust in Him.

♡   He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right with God (Romans 4:25).
♡   If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved (Romans 10:9-10).
♡   God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (Ephesians 2:8-9).

When you believe in Jesus, God’s Holy Spirit comes into your life to help you understand God’s Word (the Bible) and obey His commands.

♥ And this is His commandment: We must believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with Him, and He with them. And we know He lives in us because the Spirit He gave us lives in us. (1st John 3:23-24).

You can start (or renew) your relationship with God right now by talking to God (prayer) and confessing your trust in Jesus Christ.

♥ “God, I agree that I am a sinner. I have done wrong things that separate me from You. I believe that You gave Your only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to take away my sins. I believe with all my heart that You, God, raised Jesus from the dead. I choose to make Jesus Christ my Lord right now and forever. Let Your Holy Spirit come into my life and help me to know and obey You. Amen (May it be so).”
